The 2023 Indian Hindi-language comedy-drama film Dunki (transl. Donkey fly) is based on the same-named illegal immigration tactic. Along with Abhijat Joshi and Kanika Dhillon, Rajkumar Hirani directed and edited the film in addition to writing the screenplay. The movie, which stars Shah Rukh Khan, Taapsee Pannu, Vicky Kaushal (in a special appearance), and Boman Irani, is produced by Rajkumar Hirani Films, Red Chillies Entertainment, and Jio Studios.

The official title and the film were revealed in April 2022. In April 2023, principal photography finished up in Mumbai, Jabalpur, Kashmir, Budapest, London, Jeddah, and Neom. It had started that same month. Aman Pant wrote the background score, while Pritam wrote the soundtrack. The film's cinematography was handled by Amit Roy, Manush Nandan, and C. K. Muraleedharan.

premise

In the little Punjabi town of Laltu, four friends have a dream of traveling to England. However, they lack both tickets and authorized visas. One day, a soldier shows in and pledges to transport them to their utopia, changing their lives forever. They go on a treacherous adventure together that puts their bravery and ideas to the test.
